小説ゼミに参加されたみなさん、
どうもありがとうございました。
お疲れ様でした。
今回も3作品取り上げました。
どの作品もしっかり書かれていて骨太だったので、
私もレジュメを作成するのに結構苦労しました。
レジュメはいつも、「あらすじ」「良かった点」「気になる点」
「みんなに意見を聞きたい点」で構成するのですが、

あらすじをまとめるのは、
私にとっても作品を読み解けたかを確認する作業になりますし、
文章を書く良い練習になるのですが…^^;
今回、参加者は私を含め9名でした。
いつも使用している会場が10人定員なので、
もう少し申込みが増えたらもっと広い会場にしないとなぁと
思っているところです。
今回の作品は、どれも男性が主人公の作品だったのですが、
実は作者の3名中2名が女性。
参加した方の中には
「全員男性が書いたかと思った」
「男性の気持ちを書くのがうまい」
とおっしゃっている方もいました。
一番盛り上がった話は、
固有名詞が作品に出ることでどういうイメージを持つか
ということでした。
具体的には、同世代の人があまり聴かなそうな
古い音楽を好きな主人公をどう捉えるかということだったんですが、
そのアーティストのイメージも含めて
「周りに流されず、自分の意見をしっかり持っているタイプ」
というような意見が出たので、
作品の展開と主人公のキャラクターがマッチしていたんだなと
思いました。
また、「これを聴いていた当時の感覚と現在聴くという感覚は違う」
という意見も出ました。
最近はインターネットやyoutubeなどで
昔の音楽も聴けるし、レコード人気再燃などもあり、
世代を問わず音楽が聴ける時代ではないかという意見もありました。
そうした意見を聞いていて思ったのですが、
今は音楽が好きな人だけでなく、
普通の人もそういうふうにいろいろな音楽に触れられる時代だ
ということを考えると、
固有名詞を出すことにどれだけの効果があるのだろうか?と。
例えば、時代に沿ったセレクトであれば
作品にその時代の感じを映し出す効果があると思うのですが、
逆をいくときの効果が現代では薄れてきているのではと。
今、これを書いていて思ったのですが、
主人公だけでなく他の登場人物にも好きなアーティストを語らせたら、
比較ができたかもしれないなぁと。
例えば、同世代が聴くようなトップ10に入る音楽を聴く脇役と、
そういうタイプでない主人公に音楽の話をさせるとか、
そうした場面を入れると、より主人公のキャラクターが際立ったかもしれませんね。
ゼミの後は、パンケーキの店でご飯会をしました。
私はあまりパンケーキを食べたことがなかったので、
こんなにふわふわで生クリームがいっぱいなのか!と驚きました(笑)
帰りに、作品を提出した方から
